Secret Bookstore is known for its impromptu conversations. Some of the last topics were "Robert Musil's The Man Without Qualities," "the history of aesthetics," "Mel Brooks and Jewish humor," "the new documentary on Daido Moriyama," "searching for vinyl records and rare live recordings in Tokyo" and "the best rebetiko tavernas in Athens." A neighbor, who is currently writing a cookbook, often prepares excellent organic pizza in the evening.
